Mapatazi is an all girl/women enmasse onslaught of electric guitars and basses.
Community-spirited, yet professional in outcome, Mapatazi celebrates female power in the male-dominated music arena.
We play only our original music, with hints of ambient washes, heavy metal riffs and anything in-between.
We dress in gold and silver - precious and valuable - to highlight our worthiness in the world.

2024 is the year to prepare for the next chapter.
Thanks to Arts Tasmania for supporting this adventure. 
 Karlin Love & Rose are currently composing new works to be performed; Rose will mentor a young musician to compose a piece and new costume elements are being designed and created by seamstresses at Be Hers in nipaluna/Hobart. 
We are currently looking for festivals/events to be part of in 2025
where local electric guitarists and bass players
will be invited to rehearse and create a performance
of all original instrumental material.
